The scientists David Jordan (Jake Gyllenhaal), Roy Adam (Ryan Reynolds), Miranda North (Rebecca Ferguson), Sho Murakami (Hiroyuki Sanada), Hugh Derry (Ariyon Bakare) and Ekaterina Golovkina (Olga Dihovichnaya) work on the international space station and analyse samples from the planet Mars. One day the team discovers an organism, which is more intelligent than expected. The organism is lethal and develops fast. The team has to protect its own life, but also the whole humanity!
